Office 2002 apps slow when computer plugged into network

Hi,

Only recently started, but Access databases with forms and word documents with tables seem to be takes about 5 min to open, as before it took 30 sec at the most. The switch seeing seem to be fine and all the last patch on the desktop have been applied. I also remoced office XP and reinstalled and reinstalled and applied just SP1. The effect is the same.

I check the switch setting which haven't had any error and are set to full duplex. No updates have been runn on any of the server - only one has been added with the standard patches and set to full duplex too. I have changed cables and port also moved to another switch still the same.

If the network cable is removed then the speed re appears

Any ideas ?
