hello,
I am currently running samba 2.2.0 on solaris 7. I have noticed in recent weeks an increase in the following problem--
A user will open up an MS Office (2000 edition) file, either in word or excel, make changes and when attempting to save the file, suddenly Word (or Excel) will hang and at times the system will require a reboot.
If a user attempts to open the same file after rebooting, the same problem will occur-- Word grinds to a halt and the system becomes unuseable.
Has any one else encountered this problem? I have set oplocks to false along with level 2 oplocks in smb.conf
Thanks!
Tom
