I checked the FAQs & went back over a year in these messages. Haven't found the answer.

Situation:
I am creating a huge database from info gathered from the net. When When I find material I need, I copy and paste into one file. I then reformat the info into a form I can use. After formatting 20 or so pages of info I copy them into their respective folders.

The formatting file also contains a table with about 3000 rows that enables me to quickly check to see if I don't already have the info I'm currently working on.

There are a lot of hyper links embedded in the info I'm working with which I often use with no problems.

Problem:
After several months of doing this I am now getting the message: "Files May Be Corrupt." when I open my initial formatting file.

Solutions Tried:
1. Deleted the corrupt file, opened and renamed the backup file. Things are fine for a little while then it goes corrupt again.

2. Deleted normal.dot. Office made a new one and file goes corroupt soon after.

3. Tried a different site to gather info from - no go.

4. Tried moving the table to its own file thus reducing file size. Nope!

5. And of course the first thing I tried was the MS Office Help - more than once - to no avil.

6. Checked my file stats. All my file stats are well below the maximums posted by MS.

I'm stumped an dead in the water!!!!! The project is about 1/2 done, so I still have a long ways to go.

Your help is greatly appreciated - Thank You - Gurney
