Office 2000 Power Point and win2k lock-up - Please Help!

I am operation Office 2000 in win2k. All software including OS were installed fresh, no upgrades. When I open and use PP the entire PC locks up, no keyboard response, nothing. The only resolution is to reboot.

Has anyone had experience with this issue? How can I correct this?

Try this and see if it clears the problem (it won't hurt it anyway). Open Microsoft Word (since you can't get into PowerPoint). Select Help from the menu bar. Click on Detect and Repair. This will repair problems with Office. See if that helps. If it doesn't, you may want to try reinstalling PowerPoint.
