Office 2000 installation problem

I have installed Office 2000 on a PC that is running Windows 2000 and is part of an NT 4.00 network. The PC in question is shared between 2 users - both with separate profiles. After the installation, one of the users can access spreadsheets by double-clicking on the worksheet file - whereas when the other user tries to access worksheets via this way - they receive file/path errors - but - the can open the worksheets by opening Excel and then using the File - Open option. Can anyone give me any suggestions what I might want to look at to resolve this problem? Thanks. :(

Strangely enough ...I'm setting up a notebook doing the self-same thing right now. Is the User Profile set to Power User and not Restricted User?
