On installing Office 2000 standard I get this error Installer Terminated Prematurely.Why is this happening?.I installed the current version of Windows Installer.

Office 2000 install on Windows 95

are you sure you have enough space on the hard drive to complete the installation (program files/data files / temp. install files)?
I believe you need at least 190MB just for the program installation. I'n not sure what temporary files are created during the installation process.
It may be that you are running out or physical space or possibly running our of RAM. You should have a good 32MB RAM if you run all of the programs.
If you have the system requriements, you may want to upgrade to W98se. I know of one other person who had similar problems, enough system to operate, and could not finish the install. He upgraded to W98se and the installation went off without a hitch. Mahalo,
