Office 2000 apps crash when help opened

I have a user (windows 2000 NT) who had a problem with grayed-out help windows in all office 2000 apps. Found a fix (regsvr32 itss.dll) after trying reinstal (twice!). She can now get windows help from start menu, but when opening help from within any office 2000 app, it opens then immediately crashes out with message "msohelp.exe has generated errors..." - any ideas why this is, and more importantly, how to fix it? Tried MS knowledge base, but nada.

Anyone? This is really bugging us here - it happens with any user logged in to that particular machine, but no-one else anywhere on the network (Win 2000 server).
