What most people don't realize is that the Ozzies and NZers weren't the only ones there. We now have a close relationship with the turkish people and since I am a Pom (English decent) it needs to be said that there were Poms there as well. So on behalf of all parties a sincere thank you for even being aware of the significance of the day. A close friend (Australian Navy Formerly RN) marched in rememberance. Whilst my father participated and was decorated, I have stayed away, mainly because most people don't realise the british were there too. So I leave them to honour their lost knowing that others were with them both then and now.
