Off Switch Call Inhibit

hi,just got a question on a matter of calling:)
i 'd like to set "Off Switch Call Inhibit" on every user in my avaya 4.1(15),exept for ONE user that could forward outcoming calls out.
so i can limitate "outgoing personal traffic"
does anybody already had this problem? can you help me?

Are you sure you want to bar all outgoing traffic?? I suspect what you want is to prevent all but one user from FORWARDING their phones to outside numbers - in which case do NOT use Off Switch Call Inhibit :)

Instead, create a system shortcode as follows:

SC: *07*9N#
F: Busy

Then for the user in question, give them the following user SC:

SC: *07*9N#
TN: 9N
F: ForwardNumber

& for those sites not using 9 for a line try
*07*0N#

Unfortunatly it will not stop a user with a DT/20XX phone from setting the divert using the softkeys :-(

I am sure Avaya have already had this logged as a feature request
 
thak you ,but my problem is to prevent all users exept one to forward an external call to an outgoing number
i.e
a friend of user 201 phones him in office,and then user 201 forward this call to a mobile.
so the "friend " has a talk while using a telephone of us!!!!
nooooo good!!!
can you help me?
 
Oh, you mean external transfer! Hmmmmmmm. I don't suppose you are using analog trunks, are you?

The short code given will prevent the user from setting his forward to an external number.

It will not however prevent him from doing this from a 2030/2050 handset or from within phone manager

unfortunatly inhibit of switch calls is all or nothing :-(

2 suggestions

1) inform all useres that they are not to divert thie phones to mobiles/external numbers. Fialure to follow this instruction could then be taken through the discipline procedure.

2) Bar the mobile number of the user who is abusing the system.

if only 1 number is require setting it as an emergency number "May" override the inhibit off swich calls setting, I have not yet tested this





 
thank you ip guru,i wished you knew some kind of short code to stop this mess,i was wondering if it was possible to define the moment i put a call in recall and then make a short code that could limitate only to forward to internal number ,but seems not possible :)
maybe someday something similar will be find:)
