Off Premise forwarding

On a magix 2.0, Can I call forward an extension on an adjunct port outside of the system? I want to be able to set up my Merlin Messaging auto attendant to be able to offer options that will transfer the caller outside of the system. I think that I can't do this with a merlin messaging unless I call forward an extension outside the system. I would rather use an adjuct port than a physical port.

You can do it just the way you describe. Have the autoattendant forward the call to the adjunct - which is preset to forward off premises. You can also set up an authorization code to be able to change the adjunct's forwarding number from any phone. Make sure to authorize trunk-to-trunk transfer and remote forwarding for the adjunct.

Once you set up the adjunct as described above - go into voicemail administration - and set up the adjunct's extention number as a transfer only mailbox - then set a selector code in the AA to transfer to that adjunct - when you want the off-premises forwarding to be occur.
