Greetings Gentlemen,

I have a new customer who has an existing NEC 1100. They would like to forward their calls off-premise. What needs to be programmed in system settings to allow this to happen?

Thank You,
Quaz

MB 20-11-12 per class needs to be allowed. It is allowed at default. So, they just need to forward their phone. Be sure to place a trunk access code in, 9 + xxx-yyyy, etc.

Belevedere,

When I press call forward, I am expecting to see off-premise as a choice. I do not. I see RNA BNA etc but no off-prem. The customer wants all incoming calls to be forwarded. Am I looking in the wrong place?

There is no setting for call forward off premisis. You select the type of forwarding you want, then type in a 9 (trunk access code) followed by the outside number. See attached user guide.

Will incoming lines ringing on a telephone within the ring group forward the lines off-premise?

No, stations in a ring group do not follow call forward settings.

Can you forward incoming calls by taking the group out of service which sends calls to outside number? Anyway to do this? Can the lines ring on a telephone out of the group and forward that telephone?

Why not just use telco call forward feature, is that available?

jsaad,

Yes it is. There are 6 lines and the person inside is not very technical. They would have to forward 6 lines instead of pressing one button, if possible.

Is this during day or night mode? Are they using an Auto Attn? Are they overflowing to AA if the call is not answered? At what point during the call process do they want the numbers to forward?

Belevedere,

Customer wants to use it during the day. At present they are not using n auto-attendant or overflowing to one. They would like an immediate forward.

All setting are for mode 1. Set MB 22-02 to normal for all trunks. 22-05 is probably set to a 1 for trunk group 1. 22-04 is probably set listing all extensions that ring. Set 22-08 to ring group 2. Place virtual extension 260 in as the only phone to ring. Set 22-01-04 to 20 seconds. Set 24-09, extension 260 to call forward all/immediate to your destination number for 02/03/04/05, include a 9 trunk access code.
Calls should ring 4-5 times (20 sec) then overflow to 260 forwarded outside.
