I want to build a lobby phone with auto ring down to an outside 800 number. I assume I can build a 500 set using ld 10 with the HOT feature. I am not clear on the various options for programming HOT lines. If I go to an external number (800...), what would the terminating DN be?

If someone could elaborate on the steps involved to do this, it would be very helpful. Are there any restrictions to using an outside number vs an internal extension #?

TIA

build the set with your HOT #
and make sure CLS=CFXA
i think that should do it

You could also build a set with the HOT D pointing to a "dummy" ACD that is night-call-forwared to the 800 number, either through an ACOD+800number or with BARS+800number (better fault tolerance).

Thanks for the help. I still don't understand why the HOT feature asks for a forwarding number AND a a terminating tn.
I would think the forwarding number would be enough.

If you build a dummy ACD queue with the NCFW prompt your 9+number, Then at the FTR prompt you would enter
HOT D n xxxx

n= number of digits in your Dummy acd queue (probably 4)
XXXX= the accual number assigned to the Dummy acd queue

Post your email address and I can send you a screen print of a set built this way...

Thanks, Mjamm1. addr = alyn.loya@aquila.com

The MJ in Mjamm1 wouldn't indicate you drive a Jeep Commache pickup would it? Just curious as MJ is the model designation for that truck.
