OE slow to load

Recently, my OE has slowed down when i start it. On occasion, it loads quick and gets email quickly, but mostly(and recently), it sommtimes takes up to 30 secs to come up, it hangs on OE splash screen. It also hangs when switching identities.
I havent done anything lately to alter my pc, not even loading or playing games ..
Running WinXP, Zonealarm, Norton Firewall, Spamhilator. Allat most current. Also, any other ideas besides Spamhilator?

Have you recently removed Windows Messenger? Depending on how you do it, it can cause problems with OE.

hmmmm, messenger was turned off as soon as I installed xp pro a looooong time ago. But recently I did another command, I forget it, that also shut another part of messenger off. I did it from Start-Run...
I cant remember though, my history in the Run pull-down is gone. I bet thats it.
