OE pick tickets drop lines when printing

Our pick tickets have the nasty habit of dropping lines of text -usually the comment or note line when printing multiple pages. Each item may or may not have a comment/note attached to it. We use these for a variety of uses including notes to customers about product usage or warnings. It appears to me that when Macoal is trying to size the print job per page, it gets confused about what it printed and didn't print when going to the next page. So far, my only solution is to reduce the size of the print area on the picking/packing forms. If this keeps up, I will be down to 1 item per page. I may have to create a Crystal report to do our printing needs but would prefer not to at this point. This is an old problem but I can't find any solutions anywhere.

What version of Macola are you running. I seem to remember an issue like that. In the meantime I'm going to look through some of my notes.

We are on 7.6.100a SQL.
Also, I have tried different print drivers with no change.

I think it is a bug.

We experienced a similar problem and had IPS, now known as Exact New Jersey, develop a pick ticket that runs through a VBA interface and updates Macola accordingly as it processes. They call this the enhanced pick ticket. The pick ticket itself is a crystal report that you can customize to your specifications.

The only way that we could prevent this from occuring was limiting the number of line items to print on the page to 2. Good luck.

You might think about the ICR version or creating your own crystal. Only problem is updating the order status from 1 (booked) to 4 (picked) or 6 (packed). Someone else on this forum has written an access or VB update program to do this after printing crystal pick tickets, so it is available or do-able.

There were lots of form printing problems in 7.6.100a & macola they will tell you they are fixed in 7.6.200. It has a whole other set of printing issues, so my vote is for crystal.
