Our normal OE routine produces status code of 1, 4, 6 before invoicing.
When it goes in that order, the print/packing date will change when it becomes a status 6.

Today we found an order that went from 1 > 6 but did not change the date in the print/pack field.

We have a CR that checks for all status 6 order so we can verify shipping, etc. But with no date, it was causing concern. We found the problem (user) but it exposed a potential hole in our procedure.

Why doesn't Macoal update the pick/pate date field when it goes from a 1 to a 6?

Are you sure the line items in question were not backordered?

If they were backordered, this is the expected behaviour of Macola.

We seldom use backorder but that is good to know.

This was a direct ship sale that showed up at a branch location in error. In order to ship the product, they printed a packing slip instead of a pick ticket.

We print pick tickets, pull the order and then print a corrected packing slip in order to ship/release the order.

That gives us a status 6 that we then run the report against to verify order has shipped or not. There are some other reasons but it works for us.
