I can't open the website from my OE mail account which should just popup when I clicked the link, the new IE window is launched after the click, but all is blank. So I have to copy the address, then paste to the IE address box. But sometimes there is no detailed address show up, even any properties show to get website address.

Anybody can help? Thanks in advance...

Look up the file association for URL: Hypertext Trasnfer Protcol. Go into Advanced and select the Open action and look at the command line it is running. Depending on where you have your browser installed the command line should look similar to this:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome joegz
"Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Thank you very much, joegz. But how can I get this file for HTTP, from outlook express's menu,or somewhere else?

From Windows Explorer. Go to TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS and then FILE TYPES.

Cheers joegz

Hi joegz,

I got the file which is under URL:Internet ShortCut(I can't find URL:Hypertext Transfer Protocol), the command line is :
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

My IE doesn't work OK only when I click the link from my Outlook Express account. when I forward the same mail to yahoo account, the new window is launched correctly after the click.

So I think the problem should be OE's, not IE's?

Sorry for interruption again.

I may be misdiagnosing your issue. By any chance are you running IE6? joegz

Try to re-register the URL monitor.

Click on "Start" then go to "Run" and enter:

"REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL" (without quotes).

To joegz: yes, I'm running IE6. Before everything is OK, I just met this problem last week.

To Mseng: after ruuning, the popup message shows:"DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded",after I restart my computer,I still can't open the IE correctly from the OE mail.

Thank you very much for your help, if this's not easy to solve, I will try to remove OE, and then reinstll it.(I have repaired Office already, but it didn't work)
