OE contact list empty, can't import address book

Would anyone know why OE would suddenly lose the contact list entries, when they are still listed in the address book?

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.

Could you be a little more specific?....

Using Start, [All] Programs, Accessories, Address Book everything is there an behaves normally?

Using the Address Book button in OE shows an empty address book?

I suspect this is an identities related issue, but without some clarification, I'm not sure.

Sorry, first time that i've been able to post today.
No, the 'address book' was Ok, but the 'contact list' tab in OE was empty. I found out the problem - over 1000 entries in the address book and OE won't show them in the Contact list tab.

Deleted a few entries and the Cotact list returned.
