We have several product lines. One is made to customer order. It would be helpful if we could push these orders to PoP, but the others be driven by economic order quantities.

If looks to me like for the parts we make to order, I can set up the part# as Item Master with forced demand set to "P" - pull.

Is anyone doing something like this?

This is based on the item, not which customer is buying the item. If it's flagged as PP and Pull on the 3rd page of the Item Master, when a sales order is entered a POP order is created based on the quantity backordered.

I understand that. Can I have some parts set with the pull flag and some without?

Just to expand on Kevin's post, you must create a backorder (qty to ship is less than the qty ordered) and the customer must be flagged to accept backorders, in order for Macola to auto create the POP order.

When you complete the production of the POP order the qty to ship is then automatically populated in the OEORDLIN table.
