OE 5.0 error message, can I fix this?

Hey guys, went into OE about three days ago, it worked fine, downloaded the messages, but then an error message pops up:
MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in
module DIRECTDB.DLL at 0177:5f587fd2.
The thing is though OE will still work for a little while, then eventually freeze...
I downloaded PConPoint, it promised to fix all errors, it scaned and found over 1000 problems, the majority of them in the registry, it fixed 63 problems then you pay for the rest, anyway I took it off my system.

I'd prefer to buy a registry cleaner from the computer store if need be, what do you guys suggest I do, or buy??

On another note just yesterday when I fired the computer up, windows '98 came on and it said unknown USB device, I think it is my hub-4 ports, but would it just go bad? My all-in-one is plugged into it.

Start with this:

then test. If you still have the problem, then it might be
