I guess these fatal exceptions are perhaps to do with my AMD and/or motherboard overheating


Fatal exception - OE 0028:C1634874
OE 0028:C16407B2
OE 0028:C163F6D2
OE 0028:C163D852

all say this application will be terminated

I run Half-life..with all the latest patches on my video card, the motherboard, windows etc

I have cleaned up my registy so can't be that
I have cleaned my HD many times, reformatted twice and installed Win'98 2nd edtion twice


I have an AMD-K6 500
with 160MB RAM
13 GB Fujistu HD
32 MB Geforce MX Vid. Card
A GA-5AA Super 7 Giga-byte motherboard

i think you are probably right. Have you tried running the computer with the cover off. This should improve ventilation, & might cool it down sufficiently to avoid these fatal exceptions...... James Goodman
