Hi All,

Our NIM server seems to be ill, when running a "oslevel -r" we get the following

/usr/bin/lslpp: Error while processing fileset bos.rte.
/usr/bin/lslpp: ODM error 5908 occurred trying to read SWVPD data.
5300-05

Has any of you come across this?

Thanks

I think you are having problem in the Software Vital Product Data ODM class!

I never came across this error message but IMHO I think you will have to resotre /etc/objrepos and the /usr/lib/objrepos as to my understanding these are the ones storing the SWVPD ODM classes!

Try to save the current ODM (/etc/objrepos & /usr/lib/objrepos) before doing the restore in case this didn't solve your problem!

Did you do any changes on the ODM lately?

Regards,
Khalid

khalidaaa,

We haven't done any changes to our NIM server as of late, these errors started about 3 days ago.

Thanks

Can you list the installed software?

lslpp -L

Khalid

Not without

lslpp: 0504-302 ODM error 5908 occurred trying to read SWVPD data.
lslpp: 0504-125 Error while processing fileset devices.pci.14105e00.rte.
lslpp: 0504-302 ODM error 5908 occurred trying to read SWVPD data.
lslpp: 0504-125 Error while processing fileset devices.pci.14105e01.com.

All this appearing before hand.

Could you check the filesystem sizes! Is the /usr 100% full or nearly?
