Greetings again from "The Land Down Under!"
A bit off-topic for this forum, maybe, but thought you folks may enjoy a bit of a laugh.
Believe it or not, one of my operators came up with this in a bout 10 minutes flat, when he found out I was still cutting code in Cobol. Typical post-grad - more interested in writing poetry than code
He moves through the code
With magnificent class,
Compiling and cutting
And saving our ass
From deadlines most bogus
And clients most dread,
If any should stop him,
They'll wish they were dead.
Our code is debugged
With a wink and a grin,
If efficient it's not,
Then it's off to the bin.
Funtions and variables,
Iterations and nests,
They'll be out on their arse
If they don't pass the test.
He is our great hero,
Bad code he will hang,
Nothing can thwart him,
He is COBOL-MAN
