Odd VMWare Networking Behavior

At my office we use two types of internet connections. A production line and a contractor line. If I boot my host computer up and then my VM I am able to successfully use networking inside the VM.

I am unable to switch between the two network connections. If I switch the connections on my host all networking stops working on my VM until I restart. I try disabling/re-enabling all of the adapters. I also try releasing and renewing the IP on my host then my VM to no avail. Restarting my VM also does not work, I have to restart the host.

I am using VMWare Workstation 5.5.5. I have a host-only network adapater and a bridged network adapter. This also occurs on a different machine with the same VM. My coworkers have no problem switching between the connections on their personal VMs. I can provide a VMX file if this will help. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
