I received a request by a client asking that manually dialed outbound calls be disconnected after 8 rings if the called party doesn't answer. I have searched through the docs and did not see anything.

Just throwing this out here to see if anyone has run into this before.

Thank you

Don't they need to put the handset on-hook anyway?
Or are they using speakerphone, anyhow it sounds lazy =)

Tel your customer to find another provider. If this is the sort of request they even consider to be reasonable you will be much better of without them [banghead]
There are some posters here that deserve this sort of customer & based on your history I don't think you are one of them.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Thank you. I feel semi embarrassed for even posting the question in the first place. However if something odd with the IP Office can be done, this place has some of if not the best engineers around.

Only thing I can think of is building a TAPI app that would disconnect a call unless it's answered in 8 rings.

Okey, I got one more, sending all outgoing calls through a VM Pro Assisted Transfer =) (but no, don't do it)
