Odd RDP Issue

I just added a new Win2003 server to our network with RDP enabled. What's odd is that within the network I can RDP to this box, but when connected via VPN I cannot. Others are fine, but just not the new server. Any ideas why?

make sure your firewall on the client side is turned off.

Just checked. All Windows Firewall servcies are disabled on the servers and clients. And on the machine I am VPN'ing from

It's very odd. Remotely I can;t even ping the box. But I can ping the other servers just fine.

Thoughts?

When you're pinging, are you using the IP address or the name?

both. in fact sometimes when I ping by IP, I get one response, then the three remaining times it times out.
