Hello all,

A user of mine accidentally tanked her PST file (Outlook was running slow, so she thought to delete the PST file - oy). The accounts are all IMAP so restoring the e-mails was easy, but now we've a problem: Her calendar items are gone. I open the PST from the latest VSS backup copy, and e-mails + tasks are there, but no calendar items. I've got no damn idea why not, that's the only place Outlook is supposed to store items, right?

Any ideas where the calendar items might've gone?

(PS: The file was heinously large - about 30GB, so every recovery tool takes either 10,000 forevers or just implodes instantly except for Recoveryfix for Outlook)

What version of Outlook? You shouldn't even have had a PST file if using IMAP. In later versions of Outlook and using IMAP, the contacts are contained in the OST file and can go poof if that file is lost/corrupted. See article.

If you have a backup of the OST file, you can use special software (not free) to get contents out of it.
