Hi

I have a web application that runs on one of my servers.

The application starts ok, then when i click a button whcih retrieves info from another server on different domain, i get a proxy error. (ISA Server denied the URL)

The weird thing is there is no proxy server set up on this server, the company do use one but this server doesnt point to it.

I have checked the registry and there are no entries for any proxy anywhere.

Proxycfg is set to direct access.

Im stumped as to why the data is giong to the proxy server, any ideas?

Your server may not be configured for a proxy, but since you are trying to download a file on a diff domain, is it possible that the proxy server policy on the other domain is to block downloads from you domain?

The proxy server is on the same domain as the source server. And the traffic shouldnt be going through the proxy, it has a direct link to the remote domain.

I have run a packet sniffer on the server when I click the button, and the http request goes straight from the server to the ISA server, however it shouldnt be doing this.

I cant figure out why this is happening.

In IE, Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings, is "Bypass proxy for local address" checked?
