Has anyone seen a situation where the One-X portal wasn't able to set which voicemail greeting plays for their user?

I have a customer with a system that seems to be working in every other way, but it seems that no matter what is selected in One-X, greeting #1 plays for calls that go to VM. They can record and play back greetings 1-9 in the portal, and it lets them assign and save them but no matter what greeting #1 plays.

They're on the latest SP of version 8.1 and are running VMpro and One-X on a UC module.

This only works with intuity mode.
are you using that?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

If I read the one-X Portal help correctly, the greeting used for voicemail is controlled by your current one-X Profile. So if that is correct then they need to create some extra profiles, each using a different greeting.

[Added the 'if that is correct' as I too thought it was an Intuity mode and Voicemail Pro only feature where the greetings were then assigned to different call types using the mailbox TUI]

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

sizebut, the users all have the profiles built for things like in the office, on lunch, on vacation etc. Each profile has a different greeting assigned to it. The greetings once worked and then suddenly stopped.

Intuity mode did the trick. I have no idea how it got changed to IP Office mode, but switching it back fixed the problem.

Probably happened so the users could listen to their messages without booking an appointment in their calendar for the day :)

They're lawyers, so I think they probably have a few recurring scheduled slots in their day to sharpen their horns and check their voicemail.

I'd guess those slots are billable time though.....

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

not sure what you guys have against Intuity mode. I installed maybe 2 systems in the last 12 years in IPO mode, both horrible mistakes.
Most people can remember to dial 20 to listen to the messages and *3 to delete.

"Hi, my name is Joe and I love intuity mode" I go to meetings for that too :)

We find uses find Intuity mode more complicated to use then the IP Office mode.

In this customers case Intuity mode was the only way to go given the need to have 9 selectable greetings for One-X to have on hand. They really like the feature and the whole office is actually good about changing their profile during the day when they step away from their desks or go on vacation.
