Hi guys

I'm having an error that EX2K enterprise is sending to my account every night (for company policy the services are stopped at midnight, then a NTBACKUP is made and then at 12:40 the services get restarted, all of this unmaned) but 10 minutes I get a mail from the server stating that there is a memory error.

Couple of days a go I came to the company at the very moment of the error but the server performed fine... That lasted until monday morning when I checked I found a message from the server with the memory error that is the same when I checked the memory and concluded that it's not the problem.

Any ideas?

Best regards
Carlos

Carlos,

What is the exact message you get? How often does it occur (every 10 mins, not clear from your post)?

Have you tried capturing performance data (perfmon), do you have any software that is leaking private bytes and or handles (again check with perfmon). Also check the VM on the box to make sure its not fragmented and monitor the amount of free system PTEs around 7k + is good.

It occurs every time 10 mins (give or take) after the services get restarted (via batch file). That happens once a day at midnight.

I also was here at the timeof the error monitoring the status of the memory and checked out fine, also did the VM.

I don't think that the problem is about fragmentation of the page file, beacuse this server was entirely rebuilt (disks formatted/ OS reinstalled / exchange installed) 3 weeks ago, and it started to throw this warnings a week ago.

Post the exact message and I'll see if I've come across it before.
