I have a Micros 2700 half keyboard system unit. It has a TIB in slot B and a CIB in slot A. When I go into system diagnostics mode, the unit reports that only the TIB is installed. However, if I swap the boards and put the CIB in slot B and the TIB in slot A, both boards show up as installed.

Here's the kicker: it is inconvenient to impossible to have the CIB in slot B because of how the wires on the TIB run. The keyboard won't fit snugly over the unit in this configuration.

Any ideas why the the CIB doesn't show up in slot A? The problem doesn't seem to be with the mobo since the TIB shows up in either slot. But then, the problem doesn't appear to be with the CIB since it shows up in slot B. Weird, right?
