Have used Macs for years - including graphic design - Quark Xpress, etc. - Have many, many PostScript fonts. - However since starting to use OS 9.0.4 and now 9.1, it seems that everything that crosses over from PC world, i.e. e-mail, Word docs, etc. I get all kinds of crazy characters - quotes show up as Percent signs, exclamation points and others.
Sometimes I'll get an e-mail and the periods are Sigma (the ziz-zag Greek Character for 'Sum' in MS Excel) characters.
It's driving me nuts - never happened in all the years I've used Macs and translated cross-platform files for people.
My 'Language' is set at U.S. English My 'Keyboard' is set at U.S.
HELP!!!

that is rather odd, I Would think that in the Email scenario that the font should not change at all, and that ! = ! , and so forth because the email could come from anyone, Mac, PC, Linux, Sparc, etc. But the Word Files? are they any different versions than what you have used in the past?

Also have you tried upgrading to OS 9.2.1(if you have the bandwidth to download it) Karl Blessing aka kb244{fastHACK}
