Hello

I am a bit confused..
Code:
bash-2.05a$ mkdir /ifsdoc/kmbackup/IFSL
bash-2.05a$ mkdir /ifddoc/kmbackup/IFSL/oracledata
mkdir: 0653-357 Cannot access directory /ifddoc/kmbackup/IFSL.
/ifddoc/kmbackup/IFSL: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
bash-2.05a$ ls
IFSD IFSL IFSP IFST kmbackup lost+found SPEX
bash-2.05a$ cd kmbackup
bash-2.05a$ ls
IFSL
[code]

Is it an authority thing? I am logged in as Oracle.

Thanks

There's no need for sarcastic replies, we've not all been this sad for that long!

Is it because your doing a mkdir on /ifddoc/kmbackup/IFSL/oracledata instead of /ifsdoc/kmbackup/IFSL/oracledata?

Swood

Please excuse me while I back up quietly, continuing to the nearest cliff edge.

I thank you for that spot.

regards
