This is really weird, I can't post the code because it would be too elnghty, but I'll give a description of the problem:

This is an ASP page that is called from different pages, and the information showed on the page comes from a database. In one circumstance, only in netscape, a big white block at the bottom right of a table is white, unlike the red background. Netscape 4.47 is what i'm using and is mandatory for goverment applications. This problem dosen't show up in IE.

I've checked if it's a problem with tables. It dosen't seem like that is the problem. I'm thinking something with div tags, but not sure about that. Does anyone have any ideas?

make sure all your cells have some kinda content in, even if cell is blank add an  . Check also for inherited style properties and also check for table backgrounds that start retiling in every cell as opposed to the whole table. Netscape is the buggiest of browser especially when it comes to css and tables, so make sure your syntax is corect and supported by netscape.

I'll see what I can do with that info, thanks. The other problenm I'm starting to look into is with the span tag.

<span title=&quot;Applies to all areas of study&quot;><a href=abs_search_query.asp?iDscplnType=180&lang=E>ALL</b></span>

This in IE gives a description of the page, in netscape it dosen't work. I haven't lloked much into this problem though.

Looks for edit button...

The description is given when the user's mouse is over the text.

thats cos 'title' is not supported by netscape 4 browser but it is in 6.2, not sure about 6.0 (dont think anyone uses 6.0 now anyway)

Is there an alternative to title? Because I have to make the webpage netscape 4.47 compatible...eheh fun fun fun.
