On a computer running Windows XP, using Outlook Express 6, when the spell check is used to detect spelling mistakes, if a misspelled word has more than one possible replacement, the list in the "Change To Suggestions" box will have an item highlighted. This is normal, but what is not normal is that the highligting will automallically change to the next available suggestion and repeat this, effectively scroling through the list of available options without stopping. It does this over and over again without any user intervention. If the user manually clicks on a suggestion from the list of available words, the selection only lasts for about half a second before automatically changing to the next one and continuously scrolling through the list again.
I have never seen this before.
I have run the usual barrage of virus and malware scans, but the system appears to be free of any malicious software. I have no idea what can be causing this, as it is the only noticeable issue on this computer.
Any thoughts about this would be greatly appreciated.

My memory is not as good as it should be, and neither is my memory.
I have forgotten more than I can remember
