Ok,

This is wierd. We aquired an Intuity Audix Map 5, and I cant figure out how it gets administered. I know that there is a moniter and a key board port on the back of a MAP 5/P that we have, but this has no such thing. It just has the VM ports, A Serial port for Remote access, smdr, and another one for hookup to the admin port on the Legend, oh yean, there is one more 9 pin Com port on there, and I am clueless about its purpose. What do I do with this thing??

-Thanks

Oh,

And one more thing, someone once told me that only an Audix MAP 5/P would work on Legend, and that MAP 5 was meant for System 25/75/Definity, Is this true?

The Map5 also administers via a keyboard and monitor. The Map5 will also work with the Merlin as long as you have the Merlin Integration software installed.

Thanks,

I just tried to login to the MAP 5 today, but I do not have, nor can I figure out the SA or the VM passwords. Is there any way that I can reset the Passwords on this thing, and pretty much reset the entire machine to "out of box" condition, without deleting any of the software?

you could try the 'craft' login and crftpw or crftpw1 as the pw. if that does not work, you will need the boot floppy and go in thru the 'shell', though i have not seen any 'universal' instructions on this method. finally, reloading the software would be the only other way (short of calling Avaya and having them reset the passwords).
