ODBC vs OLE Database connection

I am working with CR11. The Crystal reports trainer said that an entirely different report would have to be written to for OLE vs ODBC. Is there anyone that can give me a good explanation of the difference between the two? Thank you.
 
ODBC is old MS, OLE DB is new, and it's not true that you need to rewrite the report, it dependson how the report was originally created.

There are 10000's of in depth articles on the web about these two technologies, with a better description than people here understand, do a search...
