ODBC vfp EXPORT ERROR

having a problem using the exprt feature of CR8.5
Cretae a report using a Visual FoxPro database. Several files are used an the dayta is summarized in the report.
I click on the export icon , choose the format ODBC-Visual FoxPro database, link to the correct database, name the table and when it trys to execute I get an error:

Failed to export the report
[Microsoft][ODBC Visual FoxPro Driver] Syntax error


anyone familar with this?
