ODBC to CR 8.5 and 10

I have a system DSN that connects to a basic Lotus Notes database. in CR 8.5, when I connect to it it asks me for my Notes password which I enter and everything is fine. In CR 10 when I enter my Notes user name and password i get an error Logon failed! unable to validate userid.

Any ideas?
