ODBC to AS400 DB2 files

I need to read/write records to DB2 files on the AS400 from a VB/asp application, and need to know how to use an ODBC to do this.

Hi yo can do it from odbc data source administrator -->system DSN ---> ADD ---->SELECT the drive to be "Client Access ODBC Driver... and you carry on defing the system data source. and you go to access for example and link or import the as400 file in a database file later you acces this database from VB.

You can use ADO.

There is a toolkit supplied with the client access express program. Get with whoever (your admin etc) and have them install that. it works great for me, updates, deletes, seeks on logical files etc...

it is called Express Toolkit for VisualBasic.

It is part of the client access express bundle, talk to you administrator for the CD, or you can download it from IBM
