ODBC - stored procedure returning control chars

I have an intranet site which uses a stored procedure to return product details for a selected product code - The site is running IIS 5 on a 'windows 2000 server' machine - The details returned are being displayed with random control characters appended to the end.

The exact same site works fine when running PWS on a windows
98 machine.
(I am using Oracle ODBC driver ver 8.1.7)

Anyone any ideas?
