I'm using Crystal Ver. 8 and have Access 2000 and MSDE 2000 running on my laptop and on my workstation. I developed a simple report joining two tables. I joined Sales_Ordeline.PartID to Iventory_Part.ID where Partid = ID. This is quite basic and is no problem when I do this connecte to and MSDE database on either of my computers. However, when I attempt this simple join connected to an Access database I get "Invalid File Link. Not an Indexed field." message. Both field are indexed AND are the only unique elements that would create a good join. Additionally, when I create at new Access DB with two tables I create this join. I puzzled. I have reinstalled Crystal. Updated MDAC to 2.8 on my W2K box. The other box runs XP. Any feedback on this would be very helpful.
