Hello I am using Crystal 9 RAS, I have everything working fine, but when I save a report without data, so the user can refresh it, it ask for a TOPSPEED ODBC login. We use Topspeed data files, but I can't seem to find the correct login, help?

Jerry

Contact your dba if you don't know how to access your database.

Crystal doesn't embed passwords into reports, so each user will require a topspeed odbc connection and user/pw (or a shared user/pw).

Funny thing is... I am the DBA. There is no username password that I know of. If we use Crystal 9, it works fine, and access the DB fine, only the RAS with eportfolio lite, is giving me trouble.

Hi,
Be sure the account the RAS is using has access rights to the database location.

I figured it out, in the MSSQL settings I found a box with drivers. it had several different drivers, but no topspeed driver. I added it, then changed the logon to use NT authorization and VOILA! reports on the web.
