ODBC link to FoxPro

I have an Access 2k mdb that is linked through ODBC to a foxpro database. I am having great problems with the reliability of the connection. More often then not the connection will fail causing the database to freeze then I will need to use the task manager to close the database.

I was wondering is there a more reliable way to link the database, is the a way to refresh the link without having to close the database?

The foxpro database has quite a lot of records in it so i am thinking that this is what is causing the problem.

Any advise will be great.

There is a way to update the linked tables but I don't know if it will solve your problem.

Select

Tools => Database Utilities => Linked Table Manager

and then choose which table(s) you want to update
