I just installed Crystal Reports 8.5 and Lotus Notes Driver 3.01. When I try to access a Notes database I get this error
"ODBC error [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager]Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_DBC failed"
Does anyone know what this means and how to correct the error?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi there. I'm having the EXACT same problem as you. Did you ever find a solution to your problem? If so, I'd love to hear about it!

Me again. I stumbled upon the "fix" for getting this to work. Basically, I had to completely remove all Crystal Reports related software and then reboot. Then, with no other programs running, I reinstalled Crystal Reports 8.5 with the default options + the Lotus Notes driver. Then I rebooted. Once my system was back up, I opened Crystal Reports and attempted to create a new report using the driver and it once again crashed on me, telling me I needed to have the "ctl3d32.dll" in the right location. However, I didn't give up; I just forced the program closed and opened up Lotus Notes. Once I did that, I apparently was able to utilize the Lotus Notes driver, because I opened up Crystal Reports and was successfully able to access the Notes driver without fail.

Go figure.

In any case, I hope this sheds some light on the matter. Feel free to contact me to pick my brain some more on this issue.
