ODBC error

We created reports with Crystal Reports (8.0)for a LIMS MATRIX. This LIMS is linked with ODBC link to a SQL Database, and Matrix has a RUN TIME crystal. Then work station needn't Crystal to generate reports.
This LIMS is put on a server, and the client can work with this LIMS on their own station. And reports are generated from Matrix.

Why our reports work on the server but not with clients workstation ? Is it an Crystal pb, or a Run time pb ? or functions of Crystal unsupported by the Run time.
When we reports the error message is : "ODBC error" then SQL error.

It is hard to remotely troubleshoot reports run from a third party app.
Are you running these reports from within the client application?
Do you have the same DSN setup on the client as used for development?
Where does the rpt file reside?

I'm running the reports from within the client application. I have the same DSN setup on the client as used for development.The reports reside on the server.The LIMS Matrix use the reports by lan.
On the client station, the report give the error
'name of column not referenced'after 'SQL Error' but in the report and in the database used there is the table and the column.

Is it possible that the run-time of the LIMS is for a specific version of Crystal reports?

Very possible, probably likely. This is really a question you should ask of LIMS. Also, it may be that LIMS always passes a recordset to the report, and your reports may not be set up to accept the recordsets.

Are there ANY reports that work from the client?
