Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

-Crystal Reports 7, running on Windows 2000 Professional
-data sources are two SQL Server tables and one text file
-running the report returns the following message:

ODBC error:

-there is no further elaboration
-this report ran on Windows NT with ADO 2.1 installed
-Windows 2000 runs ADO 2.5, including a new text driver for Crystal I believe
-I recreated the ODBC source from scratch after changing operating systems; error message appears

I'd appreciate any comments!

I have only coneected to a text file via ODBC once and it was not a problem. Maybe you should try a different ODBC driver? Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports, Goldmine and MS Office

I was thinking that the driver that came with ADO 2.5 might be the root cause. Do you remember which driver you used? Version number?

I used the Microsoft text driver that came with windows 98. Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports, Goldmine and MS Office
