ODBC error:[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-00936:missing expression

The following error occurs when I try to add a paramenter to the date field of my report.

ODBC error:[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-00936:missing expression

Thing is, when I refresh my report I see all the data going back months. I close my report and open it again, I can still refresh, but I still get this error.

Any idea?

Gets even weirder!

When I open up a new report using all the same tables and links, but without any of the other fields or layouts that I've created in the first report, I CAN use parameters with the date field.

It seems clear that this isn't an ODBC issue

What's going on???

Is this date field a timestamp with timezone using version 9?

Anyway, perhaps if you casting the field in a SQL Expression and reference it from there it will work, it sounds like it's an unsupported data type or a function.
