I'm exporting from Outlook 2000 in FoxPro format, which works fine in on my development machine (Win XP Pro) I've just tried it under (Win XP Home) and got the error message below:

'An ODBC error has occurred in the Microsoft FoxPro translator while opening a file to build a field map. [Microsft][ODBC Driver Manager] Invalid string or buffer length.'

Any Suggestions

Charterhouse,

Are you running an export from within Outlook, or are you doing this from withing Foxpro?

If the former, be aware that the VFP ODBC driver has not been updated for many years, and only works reliably with tables or databases created in VFP 6.0 or earlier.

If possible, try using the VFP OLE DB provider rather than ODBC driver. That might solve the problem.

Mike
