HI,

I use Impromptu 7.4 and ODBC to connect to Oracle9.
When i open one catalog
i have an error from odbc. The error message is :

Error number -239 :

DMS-E-GENERAL, A general exception has occurred during operation 'prepare request with options'.
DMS-F-BUGCHECK, An internal system failure has occurred during operation 'prepare request'.
[Oracle][ODBC]Invalid column number <1>.

Somebody can be help me?

I am having the same issue.. I'm using Oracle 10g. Originally this report was tied to a catalog interfacing with SQL Server, I'm modifying it to be attached to a catalog interfacing with an Oracle server. I've done this to a couple dozen other reports so far so I know it's possible to do without starting from scratch. However when I received this error I did rebuild the report, getting the same error.

I hate to use ODBC. Can you or have you try with a native Oracle connection?

Sometimes ODBC have difficulty's to perform some big SQL.
