JDBC
ODBC
our own proprietary Call Level Interface (CLI) API.
There is even a PERL DBD/DBI interface provided by Dean Arnold. A free version available at CPAN.ORG and one he sells and supports which has more functionality.
The assumption is if you have a third party product that they support one of these interfaces and then you need the appropriate Interface layer like the ODBC driver for Teradata or the JDBC driver for teradata, the CLI library or the DBD/DBI for Teradata module.
The original post here was how to get the ODBC driver for Solaris 2.6 ( which I believe is SUN OS 4.1 ). This is/was an unsupported platform.
The drivers for Solaris 7 ( 2.7 ) or Solaris 8 ( 2.8 ) should be more readily available from your NCR account team.
Now if you need access for a different platform like Windows, AIX or HPUX again those questions should be passed by you NCR account team.
